Sorbitol is a naturally occurring ingredient found in many edible fruits and berries, such as mountain ash, cherries, plums, pears, apples, and even in seaweed. Sorbitol has many uses in consumer products due to its superior ability to retain moisture. Our product is USP/BP grade.

This product also is used in stage makeup and for special effects. Mixed with red food colour sorbitol makes an excellent fake blood. Sorbitol also provides clarity and translucency to glycerin bar soaps. Sorbitol has been used safely in both skin care and oral care products for almost 100 years. It is listed by the US Food and Drug Administration as an ingredient that is Generally Recognized As Safe
