This nigari water is produced in Australia following a strict Japanesse method. This product will product both hard and softer tofu depending on the amount of coagulant, nigari water, you add. The more added the harder the end result. Other coagulants include GDL, calcium sulphate and Nigari flakes.
What is the difference between Nigari Flakes and Nigari Liquid?
Most people perfer the nigari liquid when making tofu as it is highly concentrated and already in a liquid form. This makes blending an easier process.
What else will I need to make homemade Tofu?
1. Soya beans, only use GMO free beans
2. Our nigari water or other coagulant depending on which you perfer to work with. All available from our site
3. A blender
4. Muslin Cloth, make sure you use food approved cloth. No point making it if the chemicals in the cloth will enter your food. We sell the food approved muslin cloth which is ideal for tofu and cheese making
5. A fridge, domestic is fine
