This handy size is ideal for home use. This product is derived from vegetable sources including coconut oil it is BP pharmaceutical grade and palm oil free. It is also kosher, halal and vegetarian approved.  This product can also be listed on food labels as Humectant 422 or E422

What is Glycerin?
Glycerin is also well known as glycerine or glycerol. It is a colorless, sweet tasting, odorless, viscous liquid. Glycerin is a sugar alcohol and has three hydrophilic alcoholic hydroxyl groups (-OH) that are responsible for its solubility in water. MFD Glycerin liquid is pharmaceutical grade with a minimum purity of 99.8%.

How is Glycerin used?
Glycerin is used in food manufacture to retain moisture also in glycerin soap, cosmetics and creams. Some of these non food applications include scrubs, hand sanitisers, face masks and haircare products.

1. Spirit and Home Brew Production
it's also a pretty common practice to throw in some glycerin, as it's much cheaper than taking a smaller cut of the distillate and allowing time to mellow it out. Yes, glycerin is used in some liqueurs to achieve the silky mouthfeel. It seems a good starting guide would be 5-10ml per lts of spirit. It will improve the taste and flavour of the spirit.
